Pollina Statement Regarding Douglas Campaign Announcement
June 18, 2008 Press Statement:
The question is whether Vermonters are better off than six years ago. Both “Jim Equals Jobs” and the “Affordability Agenda” were just empty slogans. New job growth is just about zero. The fastest growing jobs are low paying. Our bridges are crumbling, affordable housing is out of reach for many working families, we have no real energy plan and there has been no progress in cleaning up Lake Champlain.
Vermonters know we can do better. So we need to start listening to what Vermonters have to say, declare our independence from big oil, invest in our local economy, put people to work and rebuild our agriculture. I look forward to debating the issues and talking with Vermonters about how we move ahead.

NET JOB GROWTH IS ZERO WHICH IS UNACEPPTABLE FOR A GOVERONOR WHO SAYS” JIM = JOBS?
